Detailed explanation
Sometimes a group of people might choose if we can, have or do something.
This might be a big or a small thing.
Some of the things groups might choose could happen to us are things like
if we get a job,
if we go to a school or college,
if we can get money from the government or even if we are locked up.
When a group makes a choice about us and we don’t think it’s right,
we can ask them to think about it again.
When we ask a group or person to think again about a choice about us, it is called an appeal or making an appeal.
