She became interested in parachuting.

She made her first skydiving jump on 21 May 1959.


She was an admirer of Yuri Gagarin.

On 16 June 1963, the rocket Vostok 6 was launched.

Valentina Tereshkova was also in the rocket.

They flew for 3 days with the rocket.
